So I was stoked to find out that a band I know from Oregon was coming through Omaha while they were touring their way to Boston.  Through a series of events in which I knew some people, who knew some people, who were under some people, whose a friend of my cat, I got us lined up to open their show at the Ranch Bowl on April 9th.  So cool, right?  All things good...until I find out that in the last few does something happened (because, lets be honest, something always does) and they're not going to be coming to Omaha until May 27th...which is quite some time away and we have a hard enough time planning for the weekend practice sessions.  So who knows what will happen with that.
And then, to top it all off, I was checking out Slamomaha.com for some local show dates and I much to my dismay I found out that Poppleton (who broke up about 6 months ago) is playing a show at Howard Street...on the same f***ing day that we're playing our "One State Mini-Tour" show in Storm Lake, IA.
Maybe if we have a CD things will be better...
